Going down to Portland and photographing a couple has been on the list of things to do for a while now. Last week, everything seemed to come together perfectly as Abby and Ollie actually got engaged on top of Pulpit Rock last February so it seemed the perfect place to go back to and shoot a sunset couple session.
After an hour and a half drive down, the weather, the location, the couple and the meaning behind the shoot all came together perfectly and we spent the best part of 2 hours exploring the Portland Bill area and lapped up the beautiful sunset. I was actually shocked that we were only part of a hand full of people down on the coast that evening (obviously that is perfect for us) but I presumed because of the weather and how dramatic this little spot is, I thought it might be another Bournemouth Beach situtation from a few weeks ago.
I'm always up for an adventure too so after seeing we could scale the rock itself, we thought why not, let's do it! I'm not much of a rock climber either but after making it to the top, cameras swinging all over the place, the view was unreal and totally worth the climb.
Abby and Ollie have been one of my couples who have had to postpone their wedding due to the coronavirus and it shone some light on a somewhat rubbish time for them at the moment and I'm so happy I can share these with you.
